I rarely drink coffee, I gave up caffeine a number of years ago. My wife
always looks to see if her coffee beans are "fair trade'. This article lists
some other things to look for, which I had never heard -- "bird friendly"
etc.

I am not a 'treehugger' so to speak; but, if I have a choice to spend my
family's money, one way or the other; knowing the options is always good.
I'd rather spend my money on a product where someone is a good steward of
resources.

"As most people know by now, coffee is no longer just coffee, just like
chocolate is no longer just chocolate. Instead, coffee can have a host of
labels, from Fair Trade to Organic to Single Origin.........."
