or Vegetable Amaranth or Jamaican Spinach. I got some seeds of this
from my aunt who got them from a Jamaican friend. It looks a lot like
pigweed, probably a variation on it. Anyway, it's a great green for
the heat. Once it gets started, it's probably going to be a bit of a
problem with self seeding, but at least it's a weed I can eat.
I like it a lot, kind of like a strong spinach flavor, I eat the
stalks and all. Just prune it back,e at the prunings and with water it
comes right back.
Here is a site with a picture like what I'm growing. Most of the
searches I pulled are not the same thing.

Anyway, frost is not in the picture for the next week or so here, but
I'm saving seeds of Calaloo. The seeds are tiny and a few will do you.
Anyone want some? If so, I'll save extras. I'll trade for hollyhock
seeds, flower or vegetable seeds.
