We find these at our Texas chain grocery called HEB (Howard E. Butt, thankfully not called Butt's) which is not upscale. Next time I'm there I'll see who is manufacturing them and read the label and report back. Since we have them available year round, I've never been moved to buy them that way.

Using lemon juice is the only way I know to keepguacamole from turning brown for a few days. I now see them available peeled, cut in half and vacuum packaged in the produce department keeping their color. Do you have these where you live? I've never read the package to see what awful preservative they may be using.
Thanks, Sage.
Unfortunately, no, I haven't seen them, but it is probably because I don't normally shop in the trendy stores. Kroger would probably carry it, though. I don't know about awful preservatives, but from my last job, we were experimenting with containers that also used edible films made of citric and ascorbic acid(it was specifically for apples). So it might be better than you think. Woops, oh well, there went that confidentiality agreement..lol..
