I read a couple of the Rabbit books years ago. I've heard Updike in long
interviews; very interesting man . 'not what you might expect. He and Tom
Wolfe are probably the two greatest living American writers ( my opinion,
only). I'm surprised that Updike hasn't been awarded the Nobel Prize. Even
with its politicization, he has all of the credentials. ......bobford
