The thing is, bees are
very, very sensitive to stress and toxins. People used to raise concerns about
treating a hive with this or that, or preserving the wood of a hive with copper,

doesn't kill the bees it isn't going to do you any harm.
I find this empowering. To make sure I am taking this as intended, you feel that bees can be, or are, the canary in the mine of modern life with chemicals?
I have read for some years now about frogs with more legs than usual or various animals, including our species, that develop, um, imperfect sexual organs and/or reproduce less successfully than in the past. So it makes perfect sense to me that bees, highly developed and certainly down with nature, are sensitive and susceptible to bad crap in the air, which surrounds and infects pollen.
