from another list - the discussion started with
a question about the correct name for the soil
from mushrooms after it's been 'used' :

> I believe it's composted horse manure before it goes into the mushroom
> barns. It's probably been "sterilized" for commercial use. However, unless
> things have changed, it carries a fairly heavy load of pesticides all of
> which have been approved for use on food crops. But to demonstrate just how
> much that's worth: Paul Stamets told a
story of an encounter he had at his operation in which he asked an inspector
why they'd approved a particular pesticide for use on mushrooms. Apparently
it was approved for application within as little as three days for other food
crops.

Paul asked the inspector why three days.

Inspector told him that sunlight would break the pesticide down into....
About this time all the color drained out of
the inspector's face ...

Toni, the question remains (unaswered, too). What would the election
results have to be for Bush to win but it not be stolen? So far it sounds
like you're saying that if Bush wins, then de facto the election is stolen.
