Title: GWA Region III mtg deadline extended
GWL-g members -- here's a reminder about the Garden Writers
Association's Region III meeting on Tuesday, March 14 in
Indianapolis. THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO
FRIDAY, MARCH 10. Anyone is invited to attend.
Three top-notch experts on the emerald ash borer will give the
latest update and discuss what treatments there are and what garden
communicators can tell their readers, listeners and viewers. It may
surprise you what actions will be taken to combat the pest.
You'll also be able to tour the Indiana Flower & Patio Show,
talk to local landscapers and learn first-hand about the
multimillion dollar changes at the Indianapolis Museum of Art,
including new ways to plant trees on a structur'e's roof, how
horticulturists and volunteers dug, moved, stored and replanted dozens
of mature trees and thousands of other plants during
construction.
The weather should be decent -- mid 50s, 20 percent chance of
showers.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I can send you a
PDF of the program, or you can follow the links at GWA below.
