Just had one of those little experiences with plants that makes them so fun. Several years ago I bought several Tillandsia plants and have had them growing in the kitchen windowsill over the sink where the humidity would be high, which is what they like. This morning I realized that the crown of one had turned red within a day or two and a blue flower bud is already visible. Nothing gaudy, but a really nice surprise in the midst of winter.
