This came in from another list. This is unreal:

http://www.washingtonvotes.org/2005-SB-5113
2005 Senate Bill 5113 (Regarding rainwater collection permit)
=E2=80=A2 Introduced by Sen. Paull Shin on January 13, =
2005, to authorize=20
the department of ecology to require any person using rain barrels and=20=

cisterns to collect rainwater to receive a permit from the department=20
prior to collection of rainwater. Rainwater must be intended for=20
beneficial use on the same property from where it was collected.
=E2=97=A6 Referred to the Senate Water, Energy, and =
Environment Committee on=20
January 13, 2005.

This is FYI. I've read that similar laws have been established in some=20=

South American countries to force poor people to buy their water, at=20
grossly inflated prices, from Bechtel and other multinational=20
corporations that have been allowed to privatize the water supplies.=20
The WMF is big on forcing debtor countries to accept multinational=20
privatization of basic commodities (e.g., water and food).

But only a conspiracy theorist would worry about such things.<wink>
