Not really. But I have what I think is an interesting observation. I have two daughters, now 29 and 32, and I was a bad father. I read all the
articles about how you should involve your children in gardening. but --- damn,
they were a pain. Let's face reality: Outside of Little House on the Prairie, if
you take children into the garden, it increases your work, not reduces it.
So I kept them out of the garden. Go 'way, kid, you bother me. One of them
once asked me if she could have her own garden, and I gave her half of a 4 X 8
foot raised bed and some instruction. By July she had lost interest and I spaded
it in.
Both lived in apartments as very young adults, but the moment they had some
land they both grabbed a spade. Both are avid, if novice, gardeners now. And
hard to believe, they are calling regularly asking for Dad's advice. Hard
to believe.
I'm sure it feels all warm and fuzzy to take your young children into the
garden and have them "help" you. But what worked for me was to set a good
example and tell them to stay the hell out of the way.

I am Duane Campbell and I approve this message PS: Strangely, despite everything I did wrong, they both turned out to be
pretty good kids.
