I've been enjoying my sea kale. Delicious raw in salads or lightly nuked
with a little butter.
Sea kale is a perennial vegetable which is always the first fresh eating
I get from the garden, weeks earlier than the asparagus. Plus it is a
fine ornamental plant with large, sea green, glossy leaves and a huge
lacy flower head in June. Perfectly hardy in my zone 5 garden, and
probably colder. The perfect plant.
Queston: Why is this great plant so uncommon?
