I'm trying to build a case that the two feeding stories in Mark were about a
single event, but from two different traditions, the first Hebrew, the second
Gentile. I need to confirm that the basket (kophinos) used in Mark's first
feeding story (Mark 6:43) was "a bread container associated with the dietary
habits of pious Jews", and that the basket (spuris) used in the second story
(Mark 8:8) was "a bread container associated with gentile usage," as reported
on another discussion list? Can anyone help?
Regards,
