Thomas Schmidt has published two articles in New Testament Studies and
Bible Review on the theory that the crucifixion narrative in Mark is based
on a triumphal procession in Rome. Does anyone know of any followup on
these articles or have any comments on them?

The more I study Mark's gospel, the more I am convinced that it was =
written for catechumens. But this is all from internal indications. =
Can anyone point me to some resources that might help me confirm or =
"disconfirm" this annoying idea?
Thanks much!
