Here some examples of query result:

SELECT N'👍'
dbdatlen() == 4
"\x00\xFF\x91\x8D"

SELECT N'тест 👍 test'
dbdatlen() == 18
"\xD1\x82\xD0\xB5\xD1\x81\xD1\x82 \x00\xFF\x91\x8D test"

To store data and show it in UI I use Qt:
QString::fromUtf8();
