You could say it's a sqsh error. You could also blame Solaris or autoconf.
But the solution will probably come from you.

Did you configure FreeTDS using --disable-libiconv? If not, you need to
supply
the sqsh link command with the name of the iconv library. Most operating
systems these days include that function with their standard C library, but
apparently Solaris isn't one of them.
