Hi & Welcome,

Freetds provides a vendor compatible installation of the db-library and
ct-library API's which will work against both Sybase & MSSQL. If this is what
you mean by the CTLib & DBLib modules, then yes, they come with FreeTDS.

Once you've got freetds installed and working, see the user guide for how to
plug it into perl:

http://www.freetds.org/userguide/perl.htm

Hope this helps,

Bill

Subject: [freetds] CTLib and DBLib on MSSQL

Hi,
I have some perl programs that were connecting to Sybase, but these Sybase
databases have been migrated to SQL Server.
I need to build the perl scripts on a new server and should connect to SQL
Server. I'm planning to use freetds for this.
Do I need to install the CTLib and DBLib modules on my new server along with
freetds? Are these modules not part of freetds installation?
Please suggest.

Thanks,
Mahendra
