- Subject: [freetds] DB-library on Unix-Sybase
- Date: Thu, 26 Aug 2010 00:31:54 +0100
Hi,
I am a beginner with the freeTDS library. I am using the DB-library on
Solaris and connecting to Sybase. I would like to connect to SQL Server
2008. I have a fair amount of code written in C Sybase DB-library. How easy
will it be to replace my DB-library with the freeTDS version of DB so that I
can connect to SQL Server instead of Sybase? All my C code is on Unix. I
understand that I will have to convert bits of the C code and recompile but
how much effort will it be? I hope won't have to change too much.
Thank you.
Panos.
