Hi Mahendra,
I haven't run into this particular problem before, but from the error it
does look like a problem with the compiler. This line of the error output
give it away I think:
ucbcc: illegal option usage -xdepend
Is ucbcc the Solaris C compiler? It could be possible that the "-xdepend"
option is a gcc specific option not supported by the compiler used by
Solaris 5. In this case you might have to figure out what this option does
and the equivalent for the ucbcc compiler. Alternatively, if you have the
gcc compiler installed you could compile it using this instead.
