Sorry - I'm not familiar with determining the CVS tag? Can you give me
specific instructions?

The zip file I had downloaded extracted into a folder named
'freetds-0.65.dev.20060224'.

Just to be clear, what is the CVS tag of that February snapshot?

$ ident projects/freetds/cvs/freetds/src/tds/net.c
projects/freetds/cvs/freetds/src/tds/net.c:
$Id: net.c,v 1.49 2006/11/28 17:04:28 jklowden Exp $

I think it's 1.14, but I'd like to be sure.

I can't find any changes between then and yesterday from the beginning
of tds_open_socket() and the call to connect(2) that could make any
difference.
