See "configure --help | grep prefix": there's no --with.

The configure script accepts parameters that it doesn't itself use.
This is a well-known behavior, an it actually has advantages in some
contexts.

To check that your binaries actually have the compiled-in defaults you
intended, use "tsql -C".

Does the account in PWD have the right to create tables? blk_in will
fail if not. You can check the TDSDUMP log for errors if you're not
sure.
