Adam,
I don't know if this is what you want, but...
On my Solaris build I have problems because I don't have gcc and gnu's
libiconv.
The solaris equivalent of iconv is not up to the job, so I can't use
that either.
james instrumented the configure flag
--disable-libiconv
just for me...
Bill

I'm having difficulty (still/again) with characters getting converted to
?'s when they aren't a part of the client charset. (i've been using
cp1252, which is supposed to be the same as windows-1252 afaik)
Is there anyway to turn off the charset conversion completely? I'm
having issues with things like em-dashes, angled double quotes, elipses
(...) and other things that get pasted out of word documents.
any other idea's about how i can stop these characters from getting
messed up on me would be very much appreciated. If there is any other
information i can provide to be of assistance let me know.
Adam
