I don't have an opinion on the other software, but FreeTDS 0.62.2 is now
available. 0.62 represents a big improvement over 0.61, and includes changes
specifically for PHP's mssql extension.

Mind, I'm not sure upgrading FreeTDS will make any difference, because we
don't know which package is causing the segmentation fault.
