I alos use php with mysql, there is no such problems. Just change the code
mssql_connect()
to mysql_connect(), it works very well.
so the problem may not be the php problem.
Hope more tips.

Thanks.

"I have compiled freetds0.61 with " --with-tdsver=4.2 --enable-msdblib
--enable-dbmfix --with-gnu-ld --enable-shared --enable-static " and
installed on my Redhat 7.0 at /usr/local/freetds. "

BTW, "--enable-dbmfix" no longer has any effect, per ChangeLog 7 November
2001.

"I tested it with tsql, it worked well.
Than I recompiled and reinstalled php-4.1.2 with
"--with-sybase-ct=/usr/loca/freetds", restart apache-1.3.23
[...]
"I got the result "Warning: Sybase: Unable to connect in
/var/www/html/test/test1.php on line 8 "
and I took a loot into tds.log and tds_con.txt, I fond that the server name
become to "ms", username was"na", pass word was"pa".
It seemed that the string got truncated, does anyone has such problem
before?"

Oh, dear. I sure looks like a PHP problem, like someone changed fixed
buffers to char*, but didn't change the sizeof(). I'm sure we're not
truncating them on input.

Can anyone reproduce Jun's problem? I bet a breakpoint on the call to
dbopen() would help track it down.
