I think /usr/ucb/cc is intentionally brain damaged on Sun systems. I think
it's only used for some kernel reconfiguration stuff (insert hand-waving
here).
We can add "AC_C_CONST" to our configure.in, to fix the particular problem
Bill saw. But I think he will eventually find that /usr/ucb/cc simply does
not work.

Correct, but Bill's box is actually finding a C compiler of some sort at
that location. So I wonder which compiler it is finding...
