As somebody should know we are preparing next release of FreeTDS.
It should be a good idea if anyone in the list can test current version and
post what work and the system he use.
0.61 version has seem many update for different system (big endian, hp/ux
and other).
However this will not be a "1.0" version, so if there are any feature you'll
like to see in next release (0.62 or whatever) is the right time to tell us.
Should work on:
- OSes:
- Linux
- *BSD
- Solaris (tested on a 2.6 version some week ago)
- Tru64
- IRIX
- HP/UX (ansi compiler or gcc, K&R not supported)
- win32 (ODBC work with some problem with configuration)
- CPUs
- Intel x86
- PA-RISC (big endian)
- Alpha
- SPARC
- languages
- PHP
- Perl/DBD::Sybase
- Perl/DBD::FreeTDS
- C/ODBC
However any platform test is appreciated
Some propable improvement in next release (some already started):
- bcp update (work in progress by Bill)
- best internalization
- sql collation in mssql2k (now there is very basic support)
- character set improve
- date format
- nl_langinfo support for read system setting
- message received from server
- ODBC improve
- SQLGetInfo (required for StarOffice and other tools)
- SQLNativeSql
- SQLExecute/SQLPrepare (full support for TDS5+ features)
