Okay, I completely whacked the install directory, untarred the snapshot from scratch and still no go... Any other thoughts out there, or should I just wait for the next snapshot? btw, are those actually packaged every night?

Ugh. Just to double-check, Blake, did you "make clean" or untar into a
clean tree? This sort of problem could stem from having old object code
around.
