FWIW I use FreeTDS on Linux 2.2 without this symptom.

Perhaps you could share a little more about your configuation and
environment with the group?

Subject: [freetds] Connections using FreeTDS 0.53 hang

I have compiled FreeTDS 0.53 on several different platforms (Solaris 2.6,
HP/UX 10.20, HP/UX 11, AIX 4.1, Linux 2.2) and on most of them, it works
fine. However, when using FreeTDS 0.53 on Linux 2.2, I am unable to run
any kind of query.

For example, here is the end of the output from "make check":

t0001.c: Testing login, logout
PASS: t0001
t0002.c: Test basic submit query, results
<It hangs here>

sqsh compiles and is able to log in OK, but running a query causes it to
hang.

Any ideas?
