In dblib.c, I'm running into an improper conversion. Talking to SQL Server 7, I'm getting a SYBMONEYN returned with column_size 4, which means it is SYBMONEY4. But dbcoltype is set to always consider a SYBMONEYN to be a SYBMONEY, which is 8 bytes in length.
Here's a patch to fix it:
