Pls add "newInstance()" method to Class.forName... like this.
...
Class.forName("com.internetcds.jdbc.tds.Driver").newInstance();

Subject: [freetds] problem freetds, HELP ME !!!
Hello
(I don't speak english well!!!)
I use freetds as this :
try
{
Class.forName("com.internetcds.jdbc.tds.Driver");
System.out.println("forName ok");
connexionBDD =
DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:freetds:sqlserver://P266:1433/ISPID_TEST","sa","");
System.out.println("Driver manager ok");
statement = connexionBDD.createStatement();
}
catch (ClassNotFoundException e)
{
System.out.println("Erreur: "+e.toString());
}
When I execute this with Visual J++, it's all right.
But when I execute with JDK 1.3, the result is :
forName ok
Exception -java.lang.NullPointerException
Erreur : java.sql.SQLException
WHY ?
Thank you to help me
Coralie
