It only returns the server name and I modified your script to print the
value surrounded by '-' to make sure no other characters were returned and
it returned -THESERVERNAME- with no other characters. Also, I tried running
the perl code snippet outside of radiator using the new FreeTDS and it does
not return the ^@ garbage so there must be something strange that radiator
does. I found the following db settings done by radiator:
$self->{dbh}->{AutoCommit} = 1;
$self->{dbh}->{syb_flush_finish} = 1;
But they don't seem to make any difference.
