- Subject: article for Linux Journal?
- Date: Tue, 17 Nov 1998 11:11:54 -0600
I would like to throw out the idea of writing an article for Linux
Journal about FreeTDS. At some point when the other libraries (ctlib,
JDBC...) get to a fairly good working order, that we collaborate on an
article for submission. This would bring this project to better light
and possibly bring the attention of more developers. The article could
cover the capabilities of the libraries at the time, applications that
work with the library as well as a few lines on how to get it working
with the application, and future direction.
This would also have the side affect of filling out the documentation
and FAQ. I know the current condition of the libraries is not ready for
prime time, and I am not suggesting that the article be written soon,
but have it out there as a target. While going through the process of
determining when such an event would take place, a rough timeline for
project milestones could be laid down.
What do you think?
