Dyssembler presents another scorcher :
Dat Politics + Extreme Animals + Ist/Dad
Saturday, May 24 at Nightlight
Chapel Hill, NC
Dat Politics
[ Chicks on Speed, Tigerbeat6, A-Musik, : Lille, France : www.ski-
pp.com ]
Make room in your hearts for your three new most favorite laptops.
Thats right, the French savant-garde laptop trio (um, I mean
Liberation laptop trio) Dat Politics is coming to wipe away your
scowls and grimaces. By means of electronic distortion, childlike folk-
singsong, demented pop visions and harmonies so serene as to make your
stuffed animals blush out of parsimony, Dat Politics will replace your
pixels with a smile. This is an unprecedented stop on their US tour,
having never previously ventured into this forest of jowls and
neckbones. Everyone will be blown apart by this showespecially the
pretentious avant-garde autocrats who nurse the sterility of the
status quo.

Extreme Animals
[ Chapel Hill : Pittsburgh : http://www.paperrad.org ]
No matter how many times I press Reset, I still cant get the last
Extreme Animals show out of my memory. Rat tails flying. Sweat
pouring. Eyes glazed over in pony patterns. Dyssemblers resident
electropunk cartoon DanceBand returns to assess your powers in light
of the past nine months. Can you dig it? Do you still have a fist left
to pump? For the uninitiated, just look at the website and understand
my inability to describe this live musical experience.
Ist/Dad
[ Chapel Hill : http://dyss.net ]
Dyssemblers latest bastard innovation nestles the guitar in the loins
of John McCusker [aka Dads Belt] and the modified Casio squarely in
the claws of Isaac Trogdon [aka dotist]. After a burlesque noise
sequence at the first of the Recess experimental series at Nightlight,
this duo is polishing their chops for another balding onslaught of
digital chicanery sandwiched with analog poppycock of the highest
pedigree.
