4/4 Records & Centaur Present a Hiphop Function
FOUR EMCEES, ONE MIC
Saturday June 28 @ Retail Bar
14 W. Martin Street, Downtown Raleigh, NC
10pm, 21+, $8

Cesar Comanche, Chaundon, Joe Scudda, and
Kaze
hosted by DJs Merlin, Mooney & Soundmachine

What happens when you take Four Emcees and surrender
the stage to them at the Triangle's freshest Hiphop
nightspot? Be at RETAIL in Downtown Raleigh this
Saturday, June 28 and find out!

For those that don't know, a brief introduction to the
emcees.

* Meet KAZE, a mastermind behind the
nationally-syndicated "Hiphop Nation" television
feature. Building his record label Soul Dojo, Inc out
of Chapel Hill, he is widely recognized by other
artists and fans as both a ferocious battle MC and a
conscious writer, not to mention a charismatic
performer. His first album "The Spirit of '94" is in
stores now and is getting industry buzz from coast to
coast.

* Holding it down for the grittier side of Hiphop is
JOE SCUDDA, a brutally honest and distinctive
MC. When he's not ripping the booth at the Chop Shop in
Durham, you can catch Scudda on stage on tour with
Little Brother. Joe has focused his talent for hyping
the party with smack-you-in-the-face lyrics and the
result is impossible to ignore.

* You can take the MC out of New York but you can't
take New York out of the MC. Representing the Justus
League, CHAUNDON brings the Bronx to you with
extraordinarilly clever rhyme schemes and gripping
stories straight from the street. Fans in North
Carolina can hear him on "The Justus League Mixtape"
double CD, but this is a rare opportunity to catch
Chaundon live.

* Also from the Justus League crew is CESAR
COMANCHE, catapulted into the national Hiphop
consciousness on the strength of his sophomore release
"Paper Gods." His record label Defenders of the Free
World Music is a symbol of his unparalelled commitment
to Hiphop. A versatile lyricist and remarkable stage
presence, wherever Comanche performs, he gives fans all
they can handle... and leaves them wanting more.

Remember that the incomparable trio of Merlin,
Mooney & Soundmachine will be cooking the
turntables throughout the evening, and you never know
who else might make an appearance. The amount of talent
in RETAIL will be overflowing. You don't want to miss
this!

sponsored by Buddah's Belly of Raleigh,
NC
