- Subject: [Compostteas] Soil: CT vs Organism Foods
- Date: Sat, 27 Jul 2002 15:25:14 EDT
I had my soil tested and it was deficient in many organisms but it had them, albeit in smaller than desireable quantities.
I would like a response on the benefit of spraying (or through irrigation) the soil organism foods such as humic acid, yucca extract, fish hydrolasate, molasses, etc. It would seem that the foods should help grow the beneficials in the soil just as they grow them in the CT. And there should be less of an issue with amounts since the soil would act as a big buffer.
This approach is just for soil not foliar application but why wouldn't it do the job??
