I have used Helena Saponyn and am happy with the results. Another possible less expensive (~30%) source is here http://www.ycdi.com/yucca.htm

The response to several questions I asked are provided below from Robert Simpson.
I recommendede he have his product tested by SFI.

One other Yucca source that has a preservative that apparently limits organism growth is Ag-Aide 50.  I used it but CT testing showed the problem.

Subject: Yucca Questions

Hi Robert, I am involved in a compost tea grant trial with SoilFood web (SFI) in Oregon. Yucca extract has been identified as a fungal growth additive for compost tea although only the Helena Saponyn product has been tested by SFI.

I have a couple of questions regarding your Yucca product:
What is the saponin percent content?
Is it considered organic, OMRI certified?
Is it possible to obtain a sample?

Thanks,
Dan Lynch, Long Mountain Vineyard
