I have been emailing and calling the NOSB regarding
the scientific data, and the email this week from Owusu Bandele was
the first return correspondence I received. I thought interested parties might
want to see my response, as although I am pleased to have heard from him, the
delays from the others are still very frustrating and I think we need to keep
pushing!
Best regards to all,

Subject: Re: Request for information has been ignored Dear Mr. Bandele:
Thank you for your correspondence and your efforts
to acquire and distribute the information so many people are
requesting.
Another issue that I see as a problem, is that
delaying getting the information to us ties our hands in directly responding to
it. As I understand it the NOSB will be busy during the month of August with the
Organic Materials applications and will not be able to review incoming data
during that month. I was advised by Robert Pooler that the sooner the better for
getting information to the board. That meant July. And I have a feeling that
September tends to be "last minute", as it is October that the
recommendation would become final.
I don't think any of us want the impression that
Richard Mathews, Eric Sideman, or others from the Compost Task Force are not
willing to offer the scientific data that resulted in the Task Force's
recommendation, or are not willing to reconsider the recommendation.
However, the inability to get that information to date does not bode well. This
is a critical issue in the compost tea and organic agriculture industry, and
being sure the RIGHT recommendation is made is IMPERATIVE.
Cooperation on part of the Task Force in providing
that information in a timely manner should not be an issue. The information
should be readily available and requests for it date back to immediately after
the meeting in May.
I know you are waiting to receive the information,
and have made more than one request. If you do not have it in hand in the next
several days, then I must ask you what is in the way of you accessing it and
what can we do to help expedite it???
Again, my sincere thanks for your ongoing
assistance in this matter,
