Can one over aerate compost tea?
Yes, you can over-aerate. The method of over-aeration is important. You can
force super-saturation of oxygen if you use ozone, or peroxide, for example.
But, it is very difficult to over-aerate using air bubblers, because when
water
is saturated with oxygen, movement of oxygen from the bubbles into the water
doesn't really happen. The equilibrium pressure is the "wrong way".
E-mail Leon Hussey at www.simplici-tea.com and talk to him about the system he
is using to get the 12 hour extraction. Leon is one of the world's most kind
people, and even though you might be building a competing tea maker, I don't
think he'll be at all offended to talk to you about what he's been doing.
