Suggestion for reflection is offered. Can you identify underlying concepts that might represent the potential for the following scenario, in terms of increasing world class educational opportunities enhancing a skilled and capable nation?
Imagine a child sitting in front of a computer. She plays a tune on her Kazoo, a recording is made. She clicks the computer mouse, and her tune is played back for her to listen.

She clicks the mouse again, and her tune is displayed as sheet music with notes on it.

Now, she clicks on a menu, selects piano, and her tune is played back with the sound of a piano, instead of her Kazoo.

As she learns to read and write music on her computer, she is able to add notes, instruments, and create an entire orchestra, playing her tune.

Open Studios assists communities to build and operate community-based recording studios. These studios provide free recording services for all local residents.

The child prints out her music sheets, gathers her new CD she made, and goes home to a car parked in an empty lot. . . . you see, this child is from a homeless family in your community.
[END SCENARIO]
