Hi, Matt: Enjoyed your posting, today.
http://a.wholelottanothing.org/more.blah/moreID/16

We have some thoughts about our present situation with regard to copyright in the Digital Age. These thoughts are now being translated into action through a project called, Open Studios.

One of the subprojects Open Studios is working on, is a curriculum, if-you-will, for one-hour presentations in front of public audiences, such as at Barnes & Noble, Borders, libraries, schools, etc.

The subproject is initially named, Public Domain Fair.

Generally, what we'll do, is to team up with one or more songwriters to provide entertainment, and put a computer in place, and printer to enable audience participation. By talking about, experiencing songwriters, and learning about how songwriters will operate in the Digital Age, and then being able to learn about Creative Commons Project by registering documents and drawings, etc., right on the spot, people will begin to think about what the Public Domain and our Commons means, today.

It's a spin-off of our bigger subproject, a memorial to our precious Public Domain:

I'll send you a videotape of our presentation when we get that far. I think you'll like it. And, of course, it will be registered at the Creative Commons.
Thanks,
Tom Poe

If you can donate $5 to them, that'll help, too
