Presence is Progress is a community arts project created by Park McArthur and funded by a grant from the Public Arts Office of the Town of Chapel HillThe project's mobilizations demonstrate publicly that mobility is not synonymous with walking. Photographs of the mobilizations add to our ideas of what progress looks like.

Disability Rights North Carolina is co-hosting a reception to open the exhibition of photographs from Presence is Progress and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Vicki Smith, Executive Director of Disability Rights North Carolina, will speak.
