Dear Project Leads and team members,

dear friends,

I am writing to let you know that as of this month, I will resign from my
position as Director of the international license porting project and hand
over the operational matters to Diane Peters, our General Counsel. Many of
you already know Diane very well from the CC0 project or the non-commercial
study and I am confident that you will enjoy working together as much as I
have. Michelle, whom I would like to thank for her excellent work and
unwavering support over the past two years, will continue to work with you
and Diane on the international project. I will still be involved as
International Advisor until the end of September to help with any questions
or concerns about the international project.

It has been a great pleasure to work with all of you and I am extremely
grateful for all the time you have spent on Creative Commons and for the
amazing work to make this international network successful. I would like to
thank you for teaching me about different national Copyright systems, about
different politics and culture, and simply about different ways of handling
and seeing things. Your patience and support have made the past three years
unforgettable, and I really appreciate the confidence you have shown me.

I hardly can imagine how the future will look like without this exciting
project and without these interesting and inspiring conversations with all of
you. Please stay in touch.

Thank you very much for this wonderful time and experience – and for your
friendship.

Yours,

Catharina
