Kia ora koutou

I was just checking the date for Software Freedom Day and I came across this:
http://culturefreedomday.org/

Seems to me Culture Freedom Day could be an opportunity to replicate
the excellent networking and brainstorming event we had at the
National Library when we launched the Aotearoa/ NZ CC licenses, on an
annual basis, and in multiple locations. This could do a lot to lift
the profile of CC in Aotearoa, and facilitate new uptake projects.

The date for CFD this year is Sat 19 May, which is this weekend. This
is very short notice to organise any events, but I wonder if we could
at least manage some regional meet-ups, perhaps brainstorm some
possibilities for next year? I am now back in Ōtepoti, and I'd be
happy to meet up with some other commoners on Sat, even if just for a
coffee and a chat. If you are interested, please send me an email
(strypey AT disintermedia.net.nz) or text (021 11 77 578).

"There is tenderness only in the coarsest demand: that no-one should
go hungry any more. That children go hungry, that they will be cold
and starving, and uncared for this winter, right here in New York,
condemns every fine word said in favor of the current social order by
the sock puppets whose fine, well paid job it is to find excuses for
it."
