Hi there
Wayne is spot on. I'm intending to visit AUT while in Auckland though - we could arrange to catch up off list?
Will back in Auckland in June/July - a long overdue public meetup event is on the cards.
Thanks
Jane

Subject: [Cc-nz] Creative Commons workshop for Auckland school leaders
The second weCreate workshop will be held on Tuesday 1 March in Auckland - it is a chance for Auckland region school leaders and Boards of Trustees to discuss copyright solutions for more innovative sharing, and better reuse of educational resources.
This initiative offers information about current copyright management practice in New Zealand schools. It also explains emerging open education resource policies that are aligned with the new New Zealand Government Open Access and Licensing framework. We will walk you through the Creative Commons licences and online environments (the basic tools), and outline practical steps for implementing them at your school. It is also a forum to reflect on the challenges and benefits of open access and to ask questions.
This workshop is a collaboration between the Open Education Resource foundation and Creative Commons Aotearoa New Zealand with support from the Ministry of Education and the National Library of New Zealand. Please encourage your school leaders to explore the exciting potential of open education resources in 2011.
Join us from 9.30am - midday at The National Library of New Zealand's Services to Schools Auckland Centre, 8 Stanley Street, Parnell. This is a free session, you can register your attendance by contacting Jane Hornibrook via jane.hornibrook AT royalsociety.org.nz or phone (04) 4705 780, or by adding your name to the weCreate wiki portal http://wikieducator.org/WeCreate/Events

Hi Fabiana,
Can't speak for Jane - -but I understand these workshops are intended for the school sector (because Boards of Trustees are identified in the NZGoal framework.)
However, there are other avenues and opportunities for workshops / training for the tertiary sector:
Cheers
- The Open Content Licensing for Educators workshop -- this is a free online workshop sponsored by UNESCO and will run from 21 - 25 March 2011. Feel free to spread the word :-).
- The OER Foundation has hosted Heywire8 Think Tanks -- which are more focused on tertiary. Perhaps Auckland uni and AUT might collaborate on hosting a Heywire8 session.
