Subject: [Cc-nz] New It Make!
I've been meaning to send a message here about my radio show for Community Radio Hamilton, it's called New It Make!:

http://communityradio.co.nz/index.asp?PageID=2145852147

Well I'm writing it now.  The show is all about the Creative Commons and Free Culture/Remix Culture.  It's on Thursdays at 2pm, tomorrow I'll be playing the first two episodes I recorded.  There is an audio stream on the site if your not in the area and podcasts as well.

Project began last year, when I started making compilations of CC and Public Domain material for fun, and remixed the phrase "Make It New" to give it a name.   Eventually I encountered Community Radio Hamilton, and submitted the idea as a radio show.  They liked it.

I had to accelerate my usual "I'll get around to it eventually" timeline, to kick of the show with an Interview about the Hamilton Kete project, when the opportunity presented itself:

I met Walter the developer of the Kete software when he was up here from Wellington giving a presentation for the Waikato Linux Users Group.   I've just setup my own Kete, which turned out to be perfect for organising the recordings and other files for the show, and you can find some more info there:

Although not that much yet, I'm really just getting started, and I basically have no idea what I'm doing.  Just making it up as I go, which is half the fun.  Hopefully I'll improve over time.  The general Idea, and the reason for the funny name and the exclamation marks is to get people excited and contributing new works to the show.   Of course there are heaps of things out there already that I can use and talk about, but creating new CC work is my mission.  I'd be happy to get in touch with all on this list, to do interviews and hear any feedback or suggestions you might have.

Specifically I'd like to interview someone from the Creative Freedom Foundation and/or anyone who would be interested to talk to me about Section 92 among other things, please get in touch if you want to schedule something up.

Cheers,
Floyd Wilde
