I have no idea how CC-by-v3.0 and CC-by-sa-v3.0 licenses could be
considered as DFSG-compliant by the Debian FTP masters (the actual
decision-makers within the Debian Project on matters such as what is
acceptable or not for the Debian main archive).

I personally disagree with the FTP masters on this topic.
I tried to ask them to explain, but I received no reply at all,
unfortunately: http://bugs.debian.org/431794#16

P.S.: Please recall that, even though I am a contributor to the Debian
Project and I often speak from the perspective of the Debian Free
Software Guidelines (DFSG), I do *not* speak on behalf of the Debian
Project.
