Title: Message

This is a mistake in the legal code I am afraid… There is a new version of the licences 2.5 that follows the wording of the Scottish licence that will be released at the earliest possible.

Thanks

Prodromos

Hi,

Just noticed that the preamble to the above licence (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.0/uk/legalcode) states that "This Creative Commons England and Wales Public Licence enables You (all capitalised terms defined below) to view, edit, modify, translate and distribute Works worldwide..."

Surely the terms highlighted ("modify" and "translate") contradict directly the non-derivative clause in the main text. Arguably as a matter of construction the terms of the Licence itself will take priority, but the lack of clarity is hardly helpful.

Have I missed something?

T
