Latest Update
- Lessig will come at Oct 24 and 25 for the CC Launch Party. Oct 24
for Professional Event, and 25 for Community Launch Party
- We're still looking for public license's feedback
- Rebecca, Kenneth and Alice had a meeting with Law Society IP
Committee for introducing CC license, while Pindar and Yahong have a
lunch meeting with IP Committee's Chair
- There will be a seminar by Peter Yu about copyright by HKU Law
Faculty next week
- There will be a seminar about Lucifer Chu's and the OOPS project at 29 Mar
- Charles had organized a meeting with Government IPD and bureau,
Rebecca, Yahong, Charles and Ben will join it.
Important Point / Quick Agreement
- Oiwan suggests that beside event planner, we should also look for PR
firm to do the event planning. She have also suggests that we might
approach Sino Foundation and Oxfam Education Fund
- Rebecca explained that current CC is a project under JMSC and signed
a memorial with CCi. All donation can be done by donating to HKU
- Henry suggests that he can help organize a 1-min film contest for
the launch party.
- Various idea for launching parties includes Famous blogger sharing
on CC, CC Blogger Ring, and CC Interactive Art Workshop.
- Oiwan suggests we should lobby the government to push CC uses when
they are sponsoring art project
- Ben will develop a sponsorship pack and put the budget shown in the
meeting on Google Spreadsheet for interested parties.
- Chitat suggests that EdCity may use CC in their website
- Participants suggests that we need to have a list of CC lexical in Chinese
- Participants had discussed the organizational structure of CCHK, the
result will be posted online as a organizational plan.
- Participants had agreed that the list of members of the preparatory
executive committees will be announced on the mailing list and have a
consultation period.
Todo
- Oiwan, Jack and Rebecca will check and see if any PR firm might help

CCHK Organizational Structure Proposal
The proposal was discussed by the community in the Mar 15 CCHK
meeting. Will be approved in the Apr meeting. Please make your comment
on the CCHK mailing list before Apr meeting.
1. A preparatory executive committees will be appointed besides Public
Lead and Legal Lead.
2. The size of the preparatory executive committees is limited at 7,
includes of a Chairperson and a community coordinator.
3. The duration of the preparatory executive committees will be 1 year..
4. The functions of the preparatory executive committee includes but
not limited to:
- Decide tactics to achieve the strategic success of "Creative Commons
is the preferred and most visible licensing scheme for online creative
content in HK"
- Form a larger Advisory Board of CCHK.
- Recruiting new Executive Committees members
- Prepare the constitution, procedure and future of executive committees'
duty.
- Coordinate volunteers from the community into working team and
evaluate the work
- Communicating the direction and activities of CCHK with community.
- Fleshing out management and operational issues which are encountered
'to launch' and 'post launch'
- Identify and get funding sources for CCHK operational.
5. All of the executive committees members should attend regular
meeting every month, communicate extensively via email and wiki, and
participate in the decision-making process.
