Dear all,
Ljudmila (Ljubljana Digital Media Lab c/o KUD France Preseren, Ljubljana)
is hereby (once again) stating its interest in participating, this
time in the development
of a new collaboration format - the CC Europe network.
The so-far suggested legal form implies networking and seems quite generic.
We would like to stress that the document should also take into account the
variety of legal formats of the future member organisations (from
universities,
law firms etc. to different kinds of NGOs).
Also, that the CC Europe format should be based on (should come from) the
agreed
specific goals and activities (focused on broader European context).
Ljudmila would be interested in the development of common pan-European
projects and concrete actions (e.g. on the occasion of the attempt to
extend the copyright term in the EU parliament etc.) focused on the European
specifics.
We would, however, appreciate if the London meeting considers also
broadening the CC Europe (into e.g. CC+ Europe) range in two ways:
- Ljudmila suggests that CC Europe strives to actively involve
organisations/legal entities beyond the EU member (or candidate) states
- Ljudmila would be interested in such a network that would transcend
CC licences and thus profit (benefit) from the expertise and experiences of
its
members with other open licences as well.
Wishing you all a successful debate we look forward to a positive
outcome of the London meeting,
the Ljudmila Commons Team: Alenka Pirman, Luka Frelih, Spela Kucan
