At some point, we should look at IPv6, yes. But likely not for some time -- most likely large-scale deployment scenarios for v6 will almost certainly route back to v4 via NAT or similar, see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv6_transition_mechanisms
It'll really matter when we start to have v6 services being deployed, that's likely still several years out IMO.
That said - if you're volunteering to take a look at what it would take to make us v6 compliant, Ralph, I think we would take you up on that! :-)

Hi Ralph,This is a very good question. As far as I can see CC.org and its licenses are not available on the IPv6 only internet. At least as far as I can see on http://ipv6-test.com/validate.php This will probably gain in urgency in the next years when IPv6 becomes more popular. It will probably be a simple matter as changing the DNS settings of creativecommons.org to include an IPv6 address to their web server. The question should perhaps best be asked at the Creative Commons Developers list (which I included in the CarbonCopy).Best,Maarten--Kennisland | www.kennisland.nl | t +31205756720 | m +31643053919 | @mzeinstraOn May 8, 2013, at 13:31 , "Ralph J.Mayer" <rmayer AT nerd-residenz.de> wrote:Hi,not sure if this is the right place for such a technical question. Are there plans to make your content available on IPv6?Is there any help needed?Viele Grüße / Kind Regards / Cordiali Saluti / Met vriendelijke groetRalph J.Mayer_______________________________________________List info and archives at http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/cc-communityUnsubscribe at http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/options/cc-community_______________________________________________cc-devel mailing list
