In all honesty I am not really sure what attracted me to the browser extension. It just seemed a little bit more interesting than the other ideas that were on the idea page. I guess it was also something that seemed like a simple concept in general, but it has a lot of flexibility and possibility.

Hi Jason,
Thanks for your interest in CC's GSoC. Robert (ea4xgr) has started
work on a Firefox version of the extension, but it's not that far
along. I think a Chrome version would be very interesting, as well
(and perhaps easier to get started with extension development),
although I can understand that it might not be as interesting to you
to work on if you personally prefer Firefox. Can you tell me a little
bit more about what sort of project you want to work on (ie, what
attracted you to the browser extension)? That might help me think up
other ideas that would be a good fit.
With respect to your Wave idea, I guess I'm not clear what the CC
angle is; I've been told there's a bot you can invite to your Wave to
apply a license to it, but frankly my experience with Wave is quite
limited.
Thanks again for your interest!
Nathan
